Cork dust 0 - 0,1 mm

Are you making fishing baits, but they don’t float as they should? Or perhaps you’re struggling to find a lightweight and fine-grained construction filler? After all, poorly balanced bait means fewer bites, and overly heavy material adds unnecessary weight to a building. Cork dust (0-0.1 mm) is the perfect solution for both – cork dust pop ups float steadily in water, while composite materials become lighter without losing their properties.

You probably have a few questions, so we’ve prepared the answers!

WHAT ARE THE MAIN APPLICATIONS OF CORK DUST?

Cork dust with such a fine fraction is useful in:

  • Construction – Added to plasters, enhancing their thermal and sound insulation properties. Also used as an insulating material in structures and as a component of lightweight concrete.
  • Fishing – Used in the production of bait balls for carp fishing, improving their effectiveness in attracting fish.
  • Pyrotechnics – Used in the production of fireworks and special effects.
  • Glassworks – Acts as a separator in glass moulds.
  • Battery production – Applied in the manufacturing process of batteries.
  • Paints and plasters – Used as an ingredient.
  • 3D printing – Added to filaments.
  • Modelling – Utilised in railway, architectural, and historical modelling as a realistic imitation of sand.

ARE CORK DUST POP UPS EFFECTIVE?

Yes, cork dust is a practical material for creating pop-ups. It is lightweight, buoyant, and helps achieve an effective bait shape. The fine cork structure ensures that pop-ups float steadily in water, enhancing their effectiveness. You can mix it with other ingredients, such as fish meal.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CORK DUST AND GRANULES?

This cork granulate holds an official hygienic certificate issued by the National Institute of Public Health (PZH in Poland), confirming that it is completely safe for the skin – it does not cause allergies, irritations, or any side effects. Currently, we are the only company in Poland offering cork granulate with a PZH hygienic certificate. The granulate meets the requirements for projects that demand compliance with hygienic certification standards.

The main difference lies in particle size. Cork dust has a very fine structure, resembling flour, while granulated cork consists of larger particles. The choice depends on whether you need a fine, uniform material or granules in slightly larger fragments.

HOW SHOULD CORK DUST BE STORED?

Keep it in a dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Make sure it is stored in an airtight container.

IS CORK DUST SAFE FOR HEALTH?

Yes, it is a natural, non-toxic material that is safe for health. It contains no harmful chemicals and consists solely of ground cork.

However, it's advisable to avoid inhaling large amounts of fine dust while working – as with any dust, wearing a protective mask is recommended.

Cork dust 0-0.1 mm is the finest form of granulated cork, resembling flour. It is ideal for applications requiring the highest precision and accuracy. Its lightweight nature is a major advantage, reducing the overall weight of a product without compromising its properties.

This characteristic also makes natural cork an excellent material for creating fishing baits. If you've ever struggled with pop-ups sinking too quickly or floating too high, you know how frustrating it can be. Cork dust provides the perfect buoyancy for bait. It is also 100% natural, meaning it does not introduce artificial substances into the water that could deter carp.

Cork dust is pure natural cork, free from artificial additives. This makes it safe for both health and the environment. Unlike many synthetic materials, it contains no volatile chemicals or toxins.

Although natural cork is mainly associated with insulation and sustainability, it also has a surprising side – it is used in the production of fireworks and sparklers. Its flammable and explosive properties make it a valuable component in pyrotechnics. It is cork that enhances certain light effects, making them more dynamic and spectacular.
