How often have you trimmed material just to make it “kind of work”? Probably more times than you’d like — and the end result was still not quite right. Stiff boards won’t fill those awkward gaps or blend in with plaster. Cork granules step up where they fall short: they adjust. No trimming, no hassle. Light, adaptable, and made from natural cork, ready to go in granulated form.

Got a few questions? We’ve got you covered!

WHAT ARE CORK GRANULES?

It’s simply natural cork crushed into small pieces. They’re super adaptable, long-lasting, and don’t produce dust. This version of cork is much more flexible—you can pour it and mould it into spaces that rigid sheets just can’t handle.

WHERE CAN CORK GRANULES BE USED?

You’ll find it handy across a bunch of industries:

  • Building and industry: added into lightweight concretes, insulating plasters, adhesive mixes, or foundations.
  • Insulation: brilliant for filling gaps in cavity walls.
  • Composite structures: perfect as a light core for cabins or special vehicle.
  • Furniture design: used as an eco filling for chairs and pouffes.
  • Shoe industry: great for soles and comfy insoles.
  • Sports gear and surfaces: fills punching bags, balls, shuttlecocks; also makes fields, playgrounds and beach set-ups safer and greener.
  • Gardening: mixed into soil to boost airflow and structure.
  • Modelling and DIY: looks like tiny rocks or sand, ideal for dioramas, nativity scenes, and theatre props.
  • Terrariums: a safe and natural base.
  • Cleaning spills: useful for soaking up oil leaks.

ARE CORK GRANULES CERTIFIED SAFE?

Absolutely! It’s got a certificate from the National Institute of Public Health in Poland (PZH). This guarantees that it’s 100% safe for skin, won’t trigger allergies, irritation, or any side effects. If you want peace of mind, this cork’s the real deal. Right now, we’re proud to be the only supplier in Poland offering certified cork granules.

WHAT IS THE DENSITY OF CORK GRANULES?

The density depends on the size:

  • 0.5 – 1.0 mm: 140–150 kg/m³.
  • 1 – 2 mm: 100–110 kg/m³.
  • 2 – 3 mm: 120–130 kg/m³.
  • 3 – 4 mm: 110–120 kg/m³.
  • 4 – 5 mm: 120–130 kg/m³.

IS NATURAL CORK REALLY ECO-FRIENDLY?

Yes, cork is peeled from living cork oaks without chopping the trees down. It’s a truly renewable source. Cork breaks down naturally, doesn’t leave waste behind, and doesn’t mess with nature. It’s as green as it gets!

HOW ARE CORK GRANULES PRODUCED?

It’s made from the bark of cork oaks. The bark is carefully harvested every 9–12 years (the tree stays standing strong), then dried out, cleaned, and crushed. The result? Cork granules in all sorts of sizes, from powdery fine to chunky bits.

DOES CRUSHING CORK CHANGE ITS QUALITIES?

Nope! Even when broken down into granules, cork keeps all its best features—it still insulates against heat, damp, and sound.

In fact, grinding it opens new doors—you can pour it, spread it, or use it where solid cork sheets wouldn’t cut it. Granules are more flexible and make tricky jobs a breeze.

DOES NATURAL CORK INSULATE WELL?

It sure does! Cork is a natural insulator against both heat and sound. It’s packed with tiny air pockets that trap warmth or dampen noise.

Unlike man-made stuff like polystyrene, cork needs no chemicals. It’s lightweight, strong, breathable, dust-free — and most importantly, safe for you and the planet.

ARE THERE OTHER CORK GRANULES OPTIONS?

Yep, we’ve got more:

  • Cork dust – super fine, looks like a powder.
  • Cork nuggets – bigger bits, perfect when you need a bit more bulk but still want a loose material.

HOW SHOULD I STORE CORK GRANULES?

Best to stash it somewhere cool and airy — like a cellar, garage, or a pantry. Just don’t leave it near heaters, in baking-hot rooms, or under direct sun. Always pop the cork into a sealed container.

CAN YOU USE CORK GRANULES FOR PATHWAYS?

Definitely! It’s comfy underfoot, cushions your steps, and unlike gravel or concrete, it doesn’t heat up too fast or turn into a muddy mess after rain.

Most materials tend to be either bulky and inconvenient or too delicate and short-lived. Cork granules are a natural, lightweight, and versatile solution. It excels where others fail: in tricky spots, around awkward shapes—anywhere precision and flexibility are essential.

Black text WHY is it worth it?» with cork on the right on a white background.

#1 ONE MATERIAL, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

When using standard insulation options—such as polystyrene boards, mineral wool, or polyurethane foam—you often need to tweak the project to fit the material. It has to be cut, reshaped, and sometimes it forces you to rethink the whole technical setup. Let’s face it—it eats up a LOT of your time.

Cork granules flip the script—they mould to the available space. That’s exactly why they’re so popular across construction and industry. They’re mixed into lightweight concrete, thermal plasters, bonding composites, and even foundations. They also serve brilliantly as insulation, filling cavity walls and boosting their thermal performance.

#2 INSULATION THAT WON'T WEIGH YOU DOWN

Cork granules bring thermal and acoustic insulation to the table. Their makeup includes millions of tiny air-filled cells, forming a natural shield against both sound and temperature changes. Unlike plenty of other fillers, natural cork is light—meaning it won’t place extra strain on the structure.

Incorporating granulated cork into plasters, or concrete isn’t just about being green—it’s a real step up in performance. These mixtures hold warmth better, cut down on noise more efficiently, and are lighter overall.

#3 CERTIFIED SAFE – NOT JUST WORDS

Many products claim to be “safe”—until you ask for proof. Our granulated cork proudly carries an official hygiene certificate awarded by the Polish National Institute of Public Health (PZH). It’s completely safe for direct skin contact—it’s non-allergenic, non-irritating, and doesn’t cause negative reactions.

This is crucial in spaces where safety is non-negotiable—where kids run around barefoot or athletes train directly on surfaces. Granulated cork is a natural cushioning solution for playgrounds and sports areas. It softens impacts, lowers the risk of scrapes, and thanks to its springy nature, helps prevent injuries. Safe not just on paper—but in everyday life.

#4 COMPLETELY NATURAL

Our granulated cork comes from pure, natural cork—with zero synthetic fillers, additives, or colourants. Fascinatingly, cork originates from Portugal—a country that not only produces it but also deeply values its quality and traditional harvesting practices. Cork oaks have flourished there for generations.

This isn’t just another “eco-friendly” buzzword—it’s truly organic. The cork is carefully stripped from the tree without harming it—the tree keeps growing and naturally regenerates its bark. Unlike other natural resources that need intensive farming, cork thrives naturally—respecting both nature and tradition.

#5 MADE TO LAST

Cork granules are not only brilliant insulators—they’re also built to last. They don’t promote the growth of mould or fungi. Plus, cork doesn’t appeal to insects or rodents—it doesn’t lure ants or serve as a food source for termites or other pests that typically attack conventional materials.

Cork granules are both thermal and acoustic insulators—but they’re also non-conductive. Perfect near electrical installations, wherever reducing the risk of short circuits is critical. Importantly, cork is also notable for its excellent chemical stability compared to many other natural materials.
