Foam and cork offer different insulating properties – and it’s precisely their combination that delivers better results than using either material alone.
The polyurethane foam, with its very low thermal conductivity, ensures excellent temperature retention – keeping heat in during winter and coolness in during summer – which is why it forms the core of the panel.
Cork not only provides additional thermal (and acoustic) insulation, but also offers a pleasant surface to the touch and a natural, elegant look. This makes it ideal as the outer layer – serving not only a technical function, but also a practical one (such as a pinboard) and a decorative role.
