Traditional mats and sheets don’t always do the trick — you can’t pour them into a gap, mix them with concrete, or fit them to irregular shapes. Granulated cork gives you the freedom that conventional solutions simply can’t offer. Lightweight, durable, and insulating — a solution that adapts to your needs, with no compromises.

You probably have a few questions — so we’ve prepared the answers!

IN WHICH SECTORS IS GRANULATED CORK USED?

  1. Construction and industry – Ideal as an ingredient in lightweight concrete mixes, thermal insulating plasters, adhesive composites, and materials used in foundation work.
  2. Thermal insulation – Used to fill wall cavities, improving their heat retention capacity.
  3. Reinforced composites – Serves as a lightweight, elastic core in structures like cabins and specialist vehicle interiors.
  4. Furniture production – An eco-friendly filling for pouffes, armchairs, and other interior furnishings.
  5. Footwear industry – Cork is used to produce soles and insoles.
  6. Safe surfacing – Acts as a natural infill on sports pitches and playgrounds, and can even replace sand on artificial beaches.
  7. Sports equipment – Found in training bags, balls, shooting rests, and badminton shuttlecocks.
  8. Gardening – Improves soil structure and aeration, enhancing its fertilising properties.
  9. Model-making, art and set design – Perfect for replicating gravel, ballast, rocks or sand in models, dioramas and stage scenery — including in theatre and opera productions.
  10. Terrarium use – A natural, safe, and aesthetically pleasing substrate for exotic animals such as reptiles and tarantulas.
  11. Liquid absorption – Cork granule effectively absorbs oils and is useful in dealing with spills.

DOES GRANULATED CORK HAVE INSULATING PROPERTIES?

Yes — just in a different form compared to traditional cork boards or sheets. It’s cork in a crushed form, which makes it ideal for use where standard cork can’t be applied — mainly as a component in building mixes or as a free-flowing filler.

HOW SHOULD I STORE GRANULATED CORK?

A dry place, good ventilation, and sealed packaging — that’s all you need. Keep the granules away from moisture and sources of ignition.

IS NATURAL CORK BIODEGRADABLE?

Yes — cork is a 100% natural material with no chemical additives, making it fully biodegradable. It breaks down in the environment without leaving behind any toxic residue. It can also be recycled or repurposed for other uses.

Granulated cork offers a level of flexibility you simply don’t get with rigid sheets or ready-made mats. It’s natural cork in loose form — easy to work with in irregular spaces. You can pour it, measure it precisely, mix it with other materials, and shape it however your project demands. It’s just as effective in new builds as it is in renovation work.

That flexibility also comes with natural insulation — all thanks to cork’s unique structure. Each granule contains millions of microscopic, air-filled cells. These closed cells act as a barrier, slowing down the transfer of heat and dampening sound waves. That’s why natural cork retains warmth and helps create a quieter, more peaceful space.

And since the material is often used indoors — in spaces people use every day — safety is essential. Our granulated cork comes with an official hygiene certificate from the Polish National Institute of Public Health (PZH). This kind of certification is rare — in fact, we’re currently the only supplier in Poland offering granules with this approval. It’s your assurance that the product meets strict standards and is completely safe to use.

Granulated cork makes an excellent material for safe surfacing — especially in areas where children play or athletes train. On playgrounds, they act as natural cushioning, helping to reduce the impact of falls. Plus, they don’t burn bare feet or heat up as quickly as synthetic surfaces, making them a safer, more comfortable choice.

And finally — natural cork is a renewable material. It’s harvested from the bark of the cork oak tree, which naturally regenerates, allowing the tree to keep growing. There’s no need for compromise — you get a material that performs brilliantly without causing harm.
