The photos and visualisations presented depict the appearance of the cork under studio lighting conditions. The actual colour may vary slightly depending on lighting conditions and individual screen settings.
Choosing wall panels can feel a bit like navigating a minefield. In photos, they all look fantastic — unique textures and trendy colours. But once installed, they turn out to attract dust, lack durability, and within a month, you’re tempted to take them down. Is there a golden middle ground? Absolutely — just have a look at the Stripes 3D Cork Tiles. They make a stunning first impression, and that’s only the beginning. Made from a natural, antistatic material, they provide sound insulation, add warmth, and have nothing in common with plastic.

You’ve probably got a few questions – let us answer them!
WHERE CAN I INSTALL 3D CORK TILES?
Pretty much anywhere. In living rooms, they work brilliantly as a feature wall – behind the sofa, for example, or as a striking backdrop for your TV. In bedrooms, placing them behind the bed creates a cosy atmosphere – both visually and physically, since cork is warm and pleasant to the touch. They’re also a great choice for a home office.
Decorative cork is also ideal for smaller flats. Use it to highlight an entrance hall, add an eye-catching detail above the bed, or simply introduce a stylish accent in your lounge.
And outside the home? 3D cork often finds its way into offices, cafés, restaurants, hair salons, beauty studios, spas, and therapy rooms.
HOW MUCH AREA DOES ONE TILE COVER?
Each panel covers 0.05 m². To cover 1 m², you’ll need a minimum of 21 tiles.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR INSTALLATION?
- Let the cork settle in. Give the panels time to adapt to the room. They need at least 72 hours to acclimatise in the space where they’ll be installed. Without this, they may warp, develop gaps, or in extreme cases – start to peel off.
- Prepare the wall. The surface must be smooth, dry, and even. “Slightly uneven but barely noticeable” won’t cut it – imperfections will show, and the panels may come loose.
- Cleanliness is key. Don’t apply adhesive over dust, grease, paint residue, or old wallpaper. The wall must be clean – otherwise, not even the best adhesive will hold.
- Measure twice, glue once. Plan your layout beforehand. Decide exactly how you want the panels arranged – only then should you start applying the adhesive.
HOW DO I INSTALL 3D CORK FOR WALL COVERING?
We recommend using Wakol D-3540 cork adhesive. With the small 0.8 kg pack, you can fix approximately 69 tiles; the larger 2.5 kg tub covers around 240 tiles. Apply the adhesive to both the wall and the back of the cork panels. Use a short-pile velour roller to spread the glue evenly and avoid clumps. Do the same on the wall. Wait until the adhesive becomes transparent on both surfaces – this means it’s ready. Then, press the panels firmly onto the wall.
DO I NEED TO ACCLIMATISE 3D PANELS BEFORE INSTALLATION?
Yes – give them 72 hours to adjust to their new environment. This allows the material to adapt to the room’s temperature and humidity, helping you avoid issues like peeling or crumbling later on.
CAN I INSTALL 3D CORK WALL PANELS ON AN UNEVEN WALL?
Ideally, the wall should be as flat, smooth, and clean as possible – this ensures the best adhesion. If the surface has a textured finish, unfortunately, the cork may start to come loose over time.
ARE THE JOINS BETWEEN PANELS NOTICEABLE?
The joins may be slightly visible, but thanks to the pattern, they’re not particularly eye-catching. To make them as discreet as possible, allow the panels to acclimatise for 72 hours in the room before installation. This helps them adjust to the room’s humidity and temperature, significantly reducing the risk of noticeable gaps forming between the panels later on.
IS IT TRUE THAT NATURAL CORK HAS INSULATING PROPERTIES?
Yes, cork acts as a natural barrier that helps retain warmth in a room and dampen sound. This is thanks to its structure – it’s made up of millions of microscopic air-filled cells that effectively reduce heat transfer and absorb sound waves. Unlike synthetic materials such as plastic, cork offers these insulating benefits naturally.
HOW DO I CLEAN NATURAL CORK?
Cleaning cork is simple and doesn’t require any specialist products. Just wipe it occasionally with a dry or slightly damp cloth – that’s usually enough to remove everyday dust and light marks.
For more stubborn stains, use a mild detergent (such as a neutral pH cleaner). It’s important not to overdo it with water – cork doesn’t like being soaked. Avoid harsh cleaning agents, bleach, and scrubbing with abrasive sponges or brushes, as these can damage the surface.
IS 3D CORK FOR WALL COVERING SAFE FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN?
Yes, cork is a completely natural and safe material. It contains no toxic substances and poses no health risk – even for children.
It’s also hypoallergenic – it doesn’t attract dust or mites. Thanks to its breathable structure, it doesn’t trap moisture, which helps prevent mould and mildew from developing.
IS NATURAL CORK A GOOD CHOICE FOR BATHROOMS AND KITCHENS?
Cork can be used in spaces where humidity ranges between 40% and 60%. Its ability to let water vapour pass through helps prevent mould growth – which is especially important in kitchens and bathrooms. However, it’s essential to avoid direct water exposure. Cork should not be soaked or splashed – keeping it dry will ensure it remains in good condition.
CAN STRIPES 3D PANELS BE USED OUTDOORS?
We wouldn’t recommend it. Rain, temperature fluctuations, and general weather exposure can quickly affect the durability, appearance, and lifespan of the panels.
Your home should bring you peace – not wear you out. Bare walls, echoes, and hard surfaces make it hard to truly unwind. Plastic decorative panels? They might look fine, but they’ll never create a cosy atmosphere. Decorative cork panels – like Stripes – are a much better choice.

#1 A LOOK THAT CATCHES THE EYE
Stripes decorative cork doesn’t look like the wall panels you see every day. It’s not flat or predictable – and that’s exactly what makes it great. It’s the kind of design feature that instantly draws attention. Guests notice it. They ask about it.
And the best part? Stripes gives you complete freedom when it comes to styling. Install it however you like – vertically, horizontally, across the whole wall or just part of it. There’s no single “right” way – it’s all up to your imagination. Suddenly, you realise you don’t need to paint the walls, buy a new sofa or embark on a full renovation to refresh your space. It’s a simple, stylish update – done your way.
#2 DECORATIVE CORK VS TRADITIONAL MATERIALS
Paint? Wallpaper? We all know them, we've all used them. They look great—for about a week. Then real life sets in. With cork, you don’t have to choose between “stylish” and “practical.” Looks? Tick. Functionality? Absolutely. Eco-friendly? Of course – no plastic pretence here.
Cork is made for everyday life – it doesn’t scratch as easily as paint, doesn’t peel like wallpaper, and it also insulates and softens sound. Install it once, and enjoy peace of mind for years to come.
#3 NATURE IS ON TREND
More and more of us are embracing “zero waste” or “less waste” living. We sort our rubbish, cut down on plastic, and carry reusable bags. But what about our homes? Wall décor also contributes to waste – and this is where natural cork stands out. It’s biodegradable and carbon negative.
Cork isn’t just a marketing label. It’s harvested from cork oak trees without cutting them down. Only the bark is removed – and it naturally regenerates. This can be done every 9 to 12 years without harming the tree. It’s a fully renewable process, waste-free, and – crucially – plastic-free. Just pure, honest nature.
#4 DURABLE & PRACTICAL
Decorative cork doesn’t just look good – it brings a whole set of practical benefits too. It reduces echo, improves room acoustics, and adds warmth to your walls. You won’t get that from decorative concrete or cold plastic – they might look stylish, but they don’t bring such qualities as natural cork.
Cork contains no toxins, doesn’t release dust, and won’t trigger allergies. It’s antistatic and doesn’t attract dust like a magnet, which means the air in your room stays less dry – and noticeably healthier. Perfect for children’s rooms, bedrooms, living spaces, or a home office. And when kids are playing near the wall, you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re touching something natural, not soaked in chemicals.
Worried that something this natural might be high-maintenance? Don’t be. Cork is quick and easy to clean. No need to treat it like a delicate material – just wipe with a damp cloth or use a soft brush for dust. Thanks to its gently textured surface, small scratches or smudges won’t stand out.
