The photos and visualisations presented depict the appearance of the cork under studio lighting conditions. The actual colour may vary slightly depending on lighting conditions and individual screen settings.
Decorative wall panels? They always look stunning in adverts — full of style, texture, and on-trend colours. But once they’re up, reality kicks in: most of them gather dust, don’t hold up well, and in just a few weeks, you’re already thinking about taking them down. So, is there a way to get both looks and practicality? Absolutely — meet the Stripes 3D Cork for Wall Covering. These panels will wow you straight away, and there’s plenty more to love. Made from real cork that’s naturally antistatic, they block sound, feel cosy, and they’ve got nothing in common with cheap plastic options.

Have a question? Let’s clear things up for you!
WHAT ARE THE BEST PLACES FOR 3D CORK FOR WALL COVERING?
You can place them almost anywhere. In the living room, they create a stunning feature wall – behind your sofa or around the television. In bedrooms, they’re perfect behind the bed – giving off a warm, comforting vibe both visually and to the touch. They’re equally great in a home office environment.
If you live in a smaller flat, cork panels are a brilliant way to liven up an entrance, highlight the space above your bed, or bring subtle character to the living area.
And for commercial spaces? 3D cork is commonly used in offices, cafés, restaurants, beauty salons, wellness studios, spas, and therapy rooms.
HOW MUCH SPACE DOES ONE PANEL COVER?
Each tile covers 0.05 m². That means you’ll need at least 21 tiles to complete 1 m² of wall area.
WHAT PREPARATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE INSTALLING 3D CORK TILES?
- Give the cork time to settle. Leave the panels in the room for 72 hours before installation. This helps them adjust to the conditions – otherwise, they might shift, come loose, or peel.
- Prepare the surface properly. The wall should be clean, even and completely dry. Even slight bumps can affect the finish and cause problems with adhesion.
- Clean the wall thoroughly. Don’t try to glue over dust, grease, flaking paint or leftover wallpaper. A spotless surface is essential for proper bonding.
- Plan your layout in advance. Decide where every tile will go before you start gluing. Once your layout is set, then begin with the adhesive.
WHAT SHOULD I USE FOR INSTALLING THESE 3D ACOUSTIC WALL TILES?
We suggest using Wakol D-3540 adhesive. A 0.8 kg tub should be enough for around 69 panels, while the 2.5 kg size will cover approximately 240. Apply adhesive both to the wall and the back of the tile using a short-pile velour roller. Spread evenly and avoid lumps. When both surfaces become transparent, that’s your cue – press the panel on.
DO I NEED TO LEAVE PANELS TO ACCLIMATISE BEFORE FITTING?
Yes, absolutely – let them rest in the room for at least 72 hours. This lets the material adjust to humidity and temperature, preventing any future detachment.
CAN I ATTACH 3D CORK FOR WALL COVERING TO A NON-FLAT WALL?
Ideally, your wall should be even, flat and clean. If it’s textured or bumpy, the cork may not stick properly and might peel off over time.
WILL I NOTICE THE JOINTS BETWEEN TILES?
You might see some slight seams, but thanks to the pattern, they don’t usually stand out. To keep them minimal, let the panels rest for 72 hours before you install – this helps them adjust and prevents unwanted gaps later.
DOES NATURAL CORK OFFER INSULATION?
Yes, it does – cork is a natural insulator that helps trap warmth and muffle sound. Its structure, made up of millions of tiny air pockets, slows heat loss and softens noise. Unlike synthetic materials, cork achieves this entirely on its own.
HOW SHOULD I CLEAN NATURAL CORK?
Caring for cork is simple – just wipe it down now and again using a dry or slightly damp cloth. That’s usually enough to remove everyday dirt.
If a deeper clean is needed, use a mild detergent (something pH-neutral). Avoid over-wetting the cork – it’s best not to soak it. Stay away from aggressive cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers to protect the surface.
ARE 3D CORK TILES A FAMILY-FRIENDLY MATERIAL?
Yes, cork is natural and completely safe. It’s non-toxic and poses no health risks – not even for children.
It’s also great for allergies – it doesn’t gather dust or attract mites. Because it allows air to pass through, it prevents moisture build-up and keeps mould and mildew at bay.
IS CORK SUITABLE FOR MOIST AREAS LIKE BATHROOMS?
Cork works well in environments where humidity stays between 40% and 60%. Its breathable nature helps prevent mould – which is ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Don’t expose it directly to water though – no soaking or splashing. Keeping it dry will keep it looking good for longer.
CAN I USE STRIPES 3D PANELS OUTSIDE?
We don’t recommend it. Outdoor exposure – like rain and fluctuating temperatures – can damage the panels, affecting how they look and how long they last.
Your home should feel like a retreat – not a source of stress. Bare walls, noisy spaces, and cold surfaces don’t exactly create a calm setting. Plastic panels? Sure, they serve a purpose, but they’ll never offer that cosy, welcoming vibe. Cork decorative panels – like the Stripes collection – are the better alternative.

#1 A DESIGN THAT STIRS CURIOSITY
Stripes cork panels aren’t your run-of-the-mill wall cladding. They’ve got dimension and originality – and that’s exactly why they stand out. They catch the eye the moment someone walks into the room. Guests take notice. They ask questions.
The beauty of it? Stripes gives you creative control. Put them up vertically, horizontally, across a full wall or just a section. There’s no fixed rule – you can follow your vision. No need for paint, new furnishings, or a total redesign. One simple change can refresh the entire space – your way.
#2 WHY CORK WINS OVER TRADITIONAL WALL COVERINGS
We’ve all used paint or wallpaper. They look amazing – but only for a short while. Then the wear and tear shows. With cork, there’s no need to choose between style and everyday usability. It has both. Looks? Yes. Practical benefits? Plenty. Sustainable? Naturally – no plastic fakery here.
Cork is built for real life. It doesn’t mark easily like paint, it won’t start peeling like wallpaper, and it also insulates and dampens sound. Fit it once and enjoy it for years without fuss.
#3 BRINGING EARTH-FRIENDLY STYLE HOME
We recycle, avoid single-use plastics, and bring our own bags. But how about what we use on our walls? Cork is the standout choice. It’s fully compostable and even absorbs more carbon than it releases.
Cork isn’t artificial – it’s taken from cork oak trees in a way that doesn’t harm them. The bark is carefully removed and naturally grows back. This cycle can happen every 9 to 12 years, making it a sustainable and renewable process. There’s no waste, no plastic, and no need for chemicals – just a pure material straight from nature.
#4 NATURAL BENEFITS YOU CAN COUNT ON
Decorative cork isn’t just attractive – it adds a whole lot of comfort and function. It enhances room acoustics, and adds warmth you can feel. You won’t get that from concrete or plastic panels – even if they look modern.
Cork is safe, clean and allergy-friendly. It doesn’t emit toxins or dust and it’s naturally antistatic, so dust doesn’t build up on it. The air in your room stays more balanced and easier to breathe. It’s a great choice for kids’ spaces, bedrooms, living areas or a workspace. And when children touch the walls, there’s no need to worry – it’s natural and free of nasties.
Think natural means fussy to clean? Not here. Cork is low-effort and easy to care for. A damp cloth or soft brush is all it takes. Plus, its gentle texture hides light scratches and smudges, so it keeps its good looks with hardly any upkeep.
