WHAT IS THE SURFACE AREA OF ONE TILE?

Each cork tile covers approximately 0.05 m². To cover a 1 m² wall, you’ll need 21 tiles.

DO I NEED TO ACCLIMATISE 3D CORK PANELS FOR WALL BEFORE INSTALLATION?

Yes, acclimatising cork is an important step if you want a lasting result. Leave the cork in the room where you plan to install it for 72 hours — let it adjust to the temperature and humidity of its new environment.

From experience, we know some people skip this step, only to find the panels start peeling off later. It’s better to wait a few days and avoid the hassle of having to fix things afterwards.

HOW DO I INSTALL 3D CORK WALL TILES?

Don’t worry — you don’t need to be a professional. All you need is the right adhesive, i.e. Wakol D-3540 contact adhesive.

Check that the wall is clean, dry and free from uneven areas. A well-prepared surface is essential.
Apply the adhesive to both the back of the tiles and the wall. Typical usage for Wakol D-3540 is 150–250 g/m². A 0.8 kg package covers around 4 m², while 2.5 kg covers approximately 12.5 m².
Wait until the adhesive becomes transparent — only then should you start applying the tiles. Press them gently but firmly onto the wall.
Once installed, allow everything to dry for around 24 hours.

CAN I INSTALL CORK ON AN UNEVEN WALL?

It’s not worth the risk. Cork adheres best to smooth, even walls — if the surface is rough or significantly uneven, the tiles may not stick properly and could start to come off over time. It’s best to level the wall beforehand to avoid the hassle of future repairs.

ARE THE JOINS BETWEEN THE TILES VISIBLE ON THE WALL?

They may be slightly visible — that’s completely normal with a natural material like cork. If you allow the panels 72 hours to acclimatise before installation, you’ll reduce the risk of larger gaps appearing. With well-aligned tiles and a smooth wall, the joins are barely noticeable.

DO 3D PANELS COLLECT DUST?

No — unlike plastic wall panels, cork doesn’t attract dust. And even if they do get a bit dirty (which is only natural in any home), a gentle wipe with a cloth or duster is all it takes to keep them clean.

IS CORK 3D WALL DECOR RESISTANT TO DAMAGE?

Yes — Lines 3D cork is flexible and resistant to minor knocks, far more so than paint or wallpaper. That said, it’s not made of steel, so it can be damaged by sharp objects. To keep it in good condition, avoid scrubbing the surface or using strong cleaning agents.

HOW DO I KEEP CORK FROM FADING?

Cork is durable and doesn’t lose its colour quickly, but if you want to give it a little extra care, try to avoid placing it in areas with strong, direct sunlight. Like all natural materials, cork prefers soft, indirect light — it helps the colour stay vibrant for longer.

WHICH CLEANING PRODUCTS ARE SAFE? WHAT SHOULD I AVOID?

It’s best to use a soft cloth for cleaning. Avoid bleach, harsh bathroom cleaners, ammonia-based products or anything abrasive — these can damage the cork’s surface and affect its appearance. In short: the gentler, the better.

DO 3D CORK PANELS FOR WALL REDUCE NOISE?

Yes — Lines 3D cork helps to soften sound, reducing echo and improving the overall acoustic comfort of a room. It makes a noticeable difference compared to bare painted walls, wallpaper, or hard panels, which tend to reflect sound and create echo.
