Wondering something? We’ve got the answers right here!
WHAT DOES THE HONEYCOMB DESIGN LOOK LIKE?
The Honeycomb design is similar to a beehive — it has a sleek, geometric, 3D look. Once the panels are put together, the wall turns into a striking honeycomb-style feature. The play of light and shadow boosts the effect, making the wall appear lively and constantly shifting depending on where you're standing and how the light hits it.
WHY SHOULD 3D CORK TILES BE LEFT TO ACCLIMATISE?
Cork, being a natural material, reacts to the environment. That’s why you should leave it in the room where it’ll be fitted for at least 72 hours beforehand. This way, it gets used to the room’s temperature and humidity, helping avoid any warping or peeling later on.
If you skip this part, the panels might not stay put as long — they could start to come loose or even fall off altogether. Letting them settle properly means they’ll be well adapted and firmly attached.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO FIT CORK 3D?
- A short-pile velour roller — to spread the adhesive evenly.
- A spirit level — so you can keep the panels straight and tidy.
- A measuring tape and pencil — for marking out and measuring precisely.
- A utility knife or sharp craft knife — for trimming panels to size if needed.
- A clean cloth or sponge — handy for wiping off any glue spills.
- Work gloves (optional).
HOW DO YOU FIT 3D ACOUSTIC WALL TILES?
- Before gluing anything, make sure your wall is clean, smooth, dry and flat. A surface that’s properly prepared — no dust, stains or old paint — will help the panels stick firmly.
- Choose a good adhesive — we suggest using Wakol D-3540, which we've tried and tested many times. A small pot (0.8 kg) covers about 170 tiles, while the bigger one (2.5 kg) is enough for roughly 600 pieces.
- Spread the adhesive onto the wall and the back of each panel. Using a short-pile velour roller makes it easy to get an even coat without lumps. Cover the whole surface and wait for the glue to turn clear.
- Press the panels onto the wall firmly and double-check they’re secure. Leave them for 24 hours so the adhesive can fully set.
CAN YOU PUT CORK 3D PANELS ON UNEVEN WALLS?
It’s not recommended. Cork panels stick best to surfaces that are smooth, level and clean. If the wall is uneven or bumpy, the panels might jut out awkwardly, and the seams could end up more visible.
CAN I INSTALL THE PANELS ON TOP OF OLD WALLPAPER?
No, because old wallpaper might come off together with your new panels. Plus, there can be hidden dirt or bumps under the wallpaper that stop the adhesive from sticking properly. It’s much better to completely strip the wallpaper, give the wall a thorough clean, and prep it carefully before you start.
HOW MUCH SPACE DOES A SINGLE TILE COVER?
Each tile covers around 0.02 m². So if you’re planning to cover 1 m² of wall, you’ll need roughly 50 tiles to do the job.
WILL THE JOINTS BETWEEN THE PANELS BE NOTICEABLE?
They’re usually just barely noticeable. To make sure they stay subtle, leave the panels to adjust to the room’s climate for at least 72 hours before fitting them. This lets the cork settle to the local temperature and humidity, which helps avoid bigger gaps later on.
WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN 3D CORK TILES?
It couldn’t be easier — just grab a soft cloth or a gentle duster and you’re good to go. If you run into tougher stains, you can use a mild cleaner that’s safe for cork.
One golden rule: avoid strong chemicals like acetone, chlorine or bleach, as these can ruin the cork’s surface.
IS CORK 3D A GOOD OPTION FOR A HALLWAY?
Definitely! It beats many traditional options hands down. Wallpaper? Looks nice, but tears and scratches easily — not great for busy hallways. Paint? Lovely at first, but quickly ends up marked and worn. Ceramic tiles? Hard, cold, and can make the space feel less inviting.
Cork, on the other hand, feels warm and comfy to touch, is more durable than paint, and stands up better to daily wear than wallpaper. It also gives the hallway a cosy, natural vibe and even improves sound in the space.
IS IT OK TO PUT THE PANELS IN VERY SUNNY ROOMS?
We wouldn’t advise using cork panels where they’ll get lots of direct, strong sunlight. Just like wood, cork is natural and can change colour over time if it’s exposed to heavy UV rays for too long.
If you really want to use them in a sunny space, think about adding blinds or curtains to block some light, or try to pick walls that don’t get full-on sunlight all day.
Would you like to bring a warmer, more natural feel into your home, but don’t have the time or motivation for a full makeover? Paint might seem like an easy fix, but it wears out quickly. Wallpaper can look impressive at first, but it tends to get grubby fast and needs frequent replacing. Decorative cork offers a much more exciting alternative: it adds warmth and a natural vibe to your interior, while also being practical enough to withstand everyday life.

#1 STYLE THAT STAYS BEAUTIFUL
The honeycomb-inspired design has a bold shape and a soft, matte surface. It really pops against plain, flat walls. It feels contemporary but never artificial — because it’s genuine cork.
Trends fade, but decorative cork is a timeless choice that always feels current. Sure, stone or concrete can also give a “modern” feel, but they’re cold and harsh — totally unlike cork. Plastic options lose their colour fast, stop impressing after a while, and harm the environment. Cork, on the other hand, ages slowly and beautifully — with time, it develops even more charm and personality.
#2 A HEALTHIER, MORE PRACTICAL SPACE
Cork is a 100% natural material that doesn’t collect dust or gather dirt. It’s ideal for allergy sufferers and anyone who wants a cleaner, healthier home. It also helps balance humidity levels, improving the overall comfort of your space.
The matte finish isn’t just about looks; it’s super practical too. Unlike glossy tiles, it doesn’t create glare, and you won’t constantly notice fingerprints. Just think how much less cleaning you’ll need to do!
#3 SIMPLE INSTALLATION — DIY-FRIENDLY
You can easily install Honeycomb cork panels by yourself, without hiring any professionals. All it takes is a roller, quality glue, and a few basic tools you likely already own.
The payoff? The pride of completing a project with your own hands and a wall that’s as practical as it is good-looking. Plus, the joy of telling your mates, “Yep, I did it on my own!”
#4 QUIET, WARM AND INVITING
Honeycomb cork panels help soak up sound and cut down on echo around the room. They don’t just mimic a honeycomb — cork’s internal structure actually works like one, with millions of tiny air-filled pockets that dampen noise.
Cork also acts as an extra thermal barrier. It keeps warmth inside on chilly days and stops walls from overheating in the summer months.
#5 AN ECO-FRIENDLY CHOICE THAT COUNTS
Cork is taken from the bark of cork oak trees, without harming or cutting them down. The bark regrows every 9–12 years, so the tree carries on thriving and producing more renewable material.
Cork is entirely biodegradable, so it won’t damage the environment like plastic panels do. Opting for 3D cork might seem like a small move, but it truly makes a big impact for the planet.
