WHY SHOULD I CARE TO VARNISH NATURAL CORK?
Varnish is primarily used to protect the cork surface from mechanical damage and everyday wear. WS EasyFinish creates a durable protective layer that helps maintain the appearance of your floor for longer.

WHAT FINISH DOES THIS CORK FLOOR VARNISH PROVIDE?

CAN I APPLY THE VARNISH MYSELF?
Absolutely! It’s a single-component varnish, ready to use straight from the container. There’s no need to mix it with a hardener or add any additional ingredients. This makes the application process much simpler and quicker.
HOW TO PROPERLY PREPARE THE SURFACE BEFORE VARNISHING?
The surface should be even, dry, and clean. For a long-lasting finish, it’s recommended that the material’s moisture content does not exceed 12% – this ensures the varnish bonds effectively with the surface.
Before application, remove any existing finishing layers and contaminants such as oil, wax, grease, silicone, dust, or other dirt. The more thoroughly the surface is prepared, the better the varnish will adhere and the more durable the finish will be.
HOW TO PROPERLY APPLY VARNISH FOR CORK FLOOR TILES?
Before starting the application, shake the varnish container thoroughly. If the cork has been glued to the subfloor, make sure the adhesive is completely dry before proceeding.
Apply at least two coats of varnish using a roller. Allow a minimum drying time of 4 hours between coats at a temperature of +20°C and 50% air humidity. The floor reaches full durability and load resistance after 5 days.
The optimal conditions for application are a room temperature between +15°C and +25°C and an air humidity level of 40–75%. It’s also important to ensure good ventilation, which speeds up drying and helps the coating cure evenly.
If more than 24 hours have passed since applying the previous coat, perform a light sanding to improve adhesion before applying the next layer.
HOW MUCH WS EASYFINISH VARNISH IS NEEDED FOR APPLICATION?
The average consumption is between 80 and 120 ml per square metre, depending on the absorbency of the surface and the application method. Keep in mind that the stated coverage refers to a single coat.
UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS SHOULD WS EASYFINISH VARNISH BE STORED?
The varnish should be stored at room temperature or slightly cooler, but always above +5°C. It must be protected from frost and excessive heat to preserve its properties.
