Got questions? We’ve got the answers!

WHAT ARE LISEC SPACERS USED FOR?

LISEC spacers are used to protect glass. They help prevent scratches, cracks and other damage by safely separating individual panes. This allows for contact-free stacking of glass, ensuring that the sheets do not come into direct contact with each other.

HOW ARE LISEC GLASS SEPARATOR PADS FOR GLASS TRANSPORT APPLIED?

The spacers are applied using LISEC machines. The device feeds a continuous strip made of cork and foam, then automatically cuts it to the required length and applies it directly onto the glass pane. This ensures the entire process is fast and precise — the system automatically adjusts the spacer length to the material.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE LISEC FOAM CORK PADS FOR GLASS?

The main differences lie in the thickness of the foam. Three versions are available: 1 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2 mm. The cork layer is 3 mm thick as standard. However, we can produce spacers with a different cork thickness upon request, tailored to your specific requirements — please contact us by email for details.

Additionally, the spacers vary in length and weight, allowing you to choose the most suitable option for your particular application and transport method.

WHY ARE CORK PROTECTIVE PADS FOR GLASS COMBINED WITH FOAM?

The combination of cork and foam provides the best protective effect. Cork withstands heavy loads and distributes pressure evenly, preventing stress points on the glass. The foam layer, on the other hand, ensures the spacer adheres securely to the surface and stays in place during transport.

WHAT EXACTLY DOES “AUTO-ADHESIVE” MEAN?

It’s a type of foam that adheres to glass without the use of glue. This means it leaves no sticky residue behind — an important advantage when transporting glass with a smooth surface.

No more complaints, replacements, or wasted time dealing with unhappy customers. Instead of focusing on fixing problems, you can concentrate on what really matters — efficient operations and timely order fulfilment. LISEC cork-and-foam spacers help prevent glass damage, ensuring every delivery arrives in perfect condition.

#1 STRESS-FREE AND LOSS-FREE

With LISEC spacers, transporting glass no longer has to be a source of stress. Panes and sheets arrive without cracks, scratches, or chips — exactly as they left the warehouse. The risk of damage is reduced to almost zero, so you no longer have to worry about complaints or explaining to customers why their delivery arrived incomplete.

Less damaged glass means real savings. If previously even one in ten shipments required replacement, that issue is now eliminated — allowing you to save a significant portion of your annual budget. On top of that, your team can stay focused on current tasks instead of dealing with returns. It’s a simple solution that brings peace of mind, efficiency, and tangible savings.

#2 CORK ABSORBS SHOCKS, FOAM ENSURES GRIP

The combination of cork and foam is a proven way to protect glass. The spacers work at specific contact points, evenly distributing pressure, so the surface of the glass remains untouched.

Cork effectively dampens vibrations and cushions shocks that occur during transport, protecting the glass from cracks, scratches, and micro-damage that often only becomes visible after unloading. The foam layer, meanwhile, ensures the spacers adhere securely, keeping the glass firmly in place throughout the journey.

#3 SAFE GLASS AND LOWER EMISSIONS

Cork is harvested from cork oak trees, often referred to as “green CO₂ reservoirs” because they absorb vast amounts of carbon dioxide, helping combat climate change. Importantly, harvesting cork does not harm the tree — the bark naturally regenerates after 9–12 years, making the process fully renewable and environmentally friendly.

Choosing cork spacers is therefore a decision that combines care for the planet with practical business benefits. Cork is durable, natural, and cost-effective. This approach not only helps reduce waste and emissions but also strengthens your brand image — presenting your company as one that acts responsibly and sustainably, in line with the principles of environmental stewardship.
