Do you walk into your living room and feel a void? The space seems cold and lifeless? The problem usually lies with the walls – white, empty surfaces only amplify that feeling. Of course, you could reach for a tin of paint or some decorative panels from a chain store, but let’s face it – in most cases those are boring, overdone options you’ll see in most homes. There is, however, another way to fix it! Upholstered Wall Panels Bone instantly transform the mood of the room. A soft structure, the warm texture of cork and a natural look – everything you need to create a space with character, without a full-scale renovation.

Got questions? We've got answers!

WHAT ARE UPHOLSTERED WALL PANELS FOR?

You can use them:

  • as a decorative wall finish – either covering the entire wall or just selected sections. They add visual warmth, texture, and a natural feel.
  • as a headboard – a softer, more comfortable alternative to traditional, rigid headboards.
  • in offices and creative spaces – for example, as a backdrop behind a desk or in chill-out zones. They bring a cosy touch to interiors, softening the typical harshness of office materials.

HOW ARE THESE DECORATIVE CORK WALL PANELS CONSTRUCTED?

Upholstered panels feature a three-layer structure that combines stability, softness, and visual appeal. At the core is an MDF board with profiled corners – a solid and durable base. On top of that sits a layer of foam, finished with an elegant cork fabric that gives the panel its natural look. The result is a surface that’s easy on the eyes and practical for everyday use.

WHICH ADHESIVE SHOULD I USE TO INSTALL CORK?

We recommend Mamut adhesive. It’s ideal for mounting panels directly onto the wall – no drilling or extra fittings needed.

HOW SHOULD I ARRANGE UPHOLSTERED WALL PANELS ON THE WALL?

If you're planning to cover a larger area, like an entire wall, a brick-style layout works best – where each row of panels is offset by half the length of the previous one. This creates a natural, lighter look and avoids long vertical lines, which can appear harsh in bigger compositions.

For smaller projects (such as a headboard behind a bed), you can install the panels in straight rows, neatly aligned one above the other.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE THE WALL BEFORE INSTALLATION?

The wall should be even, dry, clean, and free from dust. The better the surface is prepared, the stronger and longer-lasting the installation will be – so it’s worth taking the time to do it properly.

It’s also important to let the panels acclimatise – leave them in the room where they’ll be installed for at least 72 hours. This allows the material to adjust to the temperature and humidity of the space, helping to prevent warping or peeling later on.

CAN I INSTALL DECORATIVE CORK WALL PANELS ON AN UNEVEN WALL?

No. If the wall is uneven, the panels may start to come loose, lift at the edges, or even fall off over time. To avoid these issues, it’s best to install them on a smooth, level surface.

DO YOU OFFER OTHER PATTERNS OF UPHOLSTERED CORK PANELS?

We offer a selection of standard patterns, but we’re open to custom orders. If you have an idea for a different design or layout, feel free to get in touch with us via the contact form.

HOW DO I CLEAN UPHOLSTERED CORK PANELS?

Gently and without soaking. A soft cloth will do the job – no detergents, scrubbing, or harsh cleaning agents needed.

Are the walls in your home looking bare? Missing that cosy feel? Let’s face it – even the most expensive furniture won’t warm up a space if the backdrop feels cold and lifeless. Upholstered Cork Panels are a quick way to bring in warmth, softness, and a touch of natural character. And the best part? You won’t see them in every other catalogue!

#1 A TIMELESS TOUCH

Upholstered cork panels work in almost any room – from the living room and bedroom to a home office, children’s room, or as a bed headboard. Thanks to their timeless aesthetic, they don’t dictate a particular style, but rather complement it naturally.

Cork as a decorative material never goes out of fashion. Its natural appearance and versatile character make it suitable for modern, Scandinavian, and minimalist interiors, as well as more traditional ones. The panels pair perfectly with wood, textiles, and light colour schemes, allowing you to blend them seamlessly into your existing décor – without the need for major changes.

#2 VISUAL WARMTH & NATURAL AESTHETIC

Cork is a material that brings a sense of natural warmth. It’s the perfect solution if you’re looking to soften the visual coldness of bare walls or create a calming, cosy atmosphere that encourages relaxation and a sense of home.

One of the key advantages of cork panels is their versatility – you don’t need to cover an entire wall. They look just as striking when used selectively: as a strip above a desk, a vertical panel by the bed, or a decorative feature in a lounge area. This flexibility allows you to tailor their layout to suit your space, creating a composition that’s not only functional but also visually engaging.

#3 A RENEWABLE RESOURCE

Cork is one of the most eco-friendly materials available in the interior design world. It’s harvested without cutting down trees – the bark of the cork oak naturally regenerates after each harvest, making cork a truly renewable resource.

In today’s era of conscious interior design, cork has become a symbol of modern, responsible living. It combines natural origins with functionality and a distinctive aesthetic, offering a sustainable choice without compromising on style.
