Cork roll 7mm

Notes, photos, documents, inspirations — it all piles up, and you’ve nowhere to pin it? A standard shop-bought board? Too small or too narrow. In the end, everything ends up scattered across your desk anyway. But you can do it your own way — with 7 mm Rolled Cork Material, you’ve got total freedom. Create your own noticeboard exactly where you need it: above your desk, across an entire wall in the kids’ room, or a smaller one in the kitchen. And that’s just the beginning — cork roll has plenty more uses.

WHAT FORMATS OF 7 MM CORK IN A ROLL DO YOU OFFER?

We offer a variety of formats to choose from. You’ll find both long rolls and smaller ones, so you can pick the size that best suits your project. Whether it’s for large surfaces, sections of walls, or smaller DIY ideas.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE BEFORE MOUNTING ROLLED CORK MATERIAL ONTO A WALL?

Start by allowing the cork time to acclimatise — ideally, leave it in the room where it will be installed for at least 72 hours. This helps it adjust to the temperature and humidity, preventing any warping after installation. Also, make sure the wall is dry, clean, smooth, and free from dust.

If you’re planning to use the cork as a pinboard, it’s best to mount it onto an additional backing layer, such as fibreboard, for added support.

WHAT ADHESIVE SHOULD I USE TO MOUNT NATURAL CORK?

It’s best to use an adhesive specifically designed for cork — that way, you can be sure it’ll do the job properly. We recommend Wakol D-3540, which we’ve tested and trust.

CAN CORK IN A ROLL BE PAINTED?

Yes, absolutely. If you’d like to change the colour or match the cork to your interior, you can paint it. Paints for cork work best.

Cork roll is a brilliant material if you want to create your own cork board — exactly the way you’ve imagined it. A roll gives you complete freedom, whether you’re covering an entire wall or just part of it. There’s no need to settle for ready-made boards from the shop. All you need is a good base — fibreboard, for example, works perfectly.

Cork roll isn’t just great for the home — it also works well for more technical applications. It can be used to make gaskets, serve as a protective layer, or add a finishing touch to gadgets and DIY projects.

Cleaning cork is no trouble at all — mainly because it doesn’t get dirty easily. Its texture doesn’t attract dust, and if anything does settle on it, a dry or slightly damp cloth is all you need to wipe it clean.

Cork has another major advantage: it’s 100% natural and renewable. It’s harvested from the bark of the cork oak tree without cutting the tree down — the bark grows back, and the tree continues to thrive, absorbing CO₂ for many years to come. By choosing cork, you’re opting for a planet-friendly solution.
