WHERE IS CORK UNDERLAYMENT WITH ALUMINIUM LAYER USED?

Wherever an effective moisture barrier is essential. The combination of cork and aluminium offers far superior protection against damp compared to standard underlays.

It’s also ideal in places where the base feels cold, or where its temperature tends to be too high. In such cases, the aluminium foil acts as a thermal screen: reflecting heat from hot bases and reducing heat loss from cold ones.

WHY COMBINE CORK WITH ALUMINIUM?

Combining cork with aluminium provides better protection for your floor, especially when installed over a highly damp base. Aluminium serves as a moisture barrier and also enhances thermal insulation by acting as a thermal screen. Cork, on the other hand, absorbs sound, provides warmth, and helps stabilise the floor. Together, these two materials complement each other perfectly and deliver far better performance than when used separately.

IS CORK ALONE NOT ENOUGH?

HOW SHOULD CORK FLOOR UNDERLAY WITH ALUMINIUM BE INSTALLED?
