WHICH SHADE OF 3D CORK PANELLING SHOULD I CHOOSE?

You can choose from three distinctive shades of Tatami 3D panels:

Tatami Natural: A subtle pattern paired with the natural tone of cork. Perfect when combined with stone, ceramics or soft fabrics – it creates a warm and balanced look.

Tatami Light: An excellent choice for interiors in a classic or Scandinavian style. Its elegant, light shade reflects light beautifully, making rooms feel more spacious and brighter.

Tatami Midnight: Stylish, darker panels that bring a sense of depth and sophistication. Ideal for living rooms, home offices or even restaurants.

HOW TO INSTALL TATAMI CORK 3D PANELS?

  1. Panel Storage: Before installation, transport and store the panels horizontally to avoid any deformation.
  2. Panel Acclimatisation: Allow the panels to adjust to the conditions in your home. Place them in the target room at least 72 hours before installation. This gives the cork time to acclimatise to the temperature and humidity of the space, helping prevent future warping or distortion.
  3. Preparing the Wall: Ensure the surface where the panels will be mounted is: clean, dry, smooth, even, and free of dust. This creates the best possible base for secure adhesion.
  4. Applying the Adhesive: Use a reliable adhesive, such as Wakol D-3540. Apply a thin, even layer of glue to both the wall and the back of each panel. Wait until the adhesive becomes transparent – that’s your cue it’s ready for bonding.
  5. Mounting the Panels: Carefully press each panel into place, applying firm, even pressure to ensure a secure hold.
  6. Drying Time: Leave the panels to dry for at least 24 hours.

Cork is no longer just a noticeboard or a wine stopper. Times have changed, and cork has now found its place as a stylish wall panel. It comes in a wide range of shades – from light beige tones, through classic browns, to darker, more industrial finishes. Works perfectly as a feature on a single wall, but there’s nothing stopping you from covering an entire space. It fits just as well in living rooms and bedrooms as it does in public interiors – offices, cafés or beauty salons.

But looks are just one of its many advantages. Cork is an antistatic material – unlike synthetic panels or vinyl wallpapers, it doesn’t attract dust. That means you won’t have to constantly wipe the walls clean. What’s more, cork is hypoallergenic – an important benefit if you have children or someone in the household suffers from allergies.

What’s more, natural cork is harvested from the bark of the cork oak tree, which regenerates on its own – so there’s no need to cut the tree down. It’s 100% natural, biodegradable, and produced without harmful substances. In practice: you buy it once, it serves you for years, and if you ever decide to replace it, you won’t be leaving behind plastic or toxic waste. It’s a choice that makes sense not just for today, but in the long run – for you, your home, and the environment.
