The photos and visualisations presented depict the appearance of the cork under studio lighting conditions. The actual colour may vary slightly depending on lighting conditions and individual screen settings.

Finding the right wall panels can be a real challenge. Most of them look brilliant — cool designs and fashionable tones. But once you’ve put them up, they often just gather dust, feel flimsy, and before long, you're thinking of replacing them. Is there a better option out there? Yes, for sure — just take a look at the Stripes 3D Decorative Cork. They’re seriously eye-catching from the start, and that’s not all. Made from genuine antistatic cork, they help reduce noise, bring a natural warmth to any room, and they’re nothing like those cheap plastic alternatives.

WHAT ARE THE BEST PLACES TO PUT 3D DECORATIVE CORK?

Almost anywhere, really. In the living room, they make a fantastic feature wall – behind your sofa or as a cool backdrop for the TV. In bedrooms, positioning them behind the bed adds warmth and texture – both to look at and to touch, since cork feels naturally soft and cosy. They’re spot on for a home workspace as well.

Decor cork works great in smaller homes too. Try using it in the hallway to draw attention, as a neat detail above the bed, or just to give your lounge a modern twist.

And outside the home? You’ll often find 3D cork in workplaces, cafés, eateries, salons, spas, studios, or therapy rooms.

HOW MANY TILES DO I NEED?

Each tile takes up 0.05 m² of space. To cover 1 m², you’ll want at least 21 tiles.

HOW DO I GET READY FOR INSTALLING NATURAL CORK 3D?

  1. Let them settle. Leave the tiles in the room for about 72 hours to let them adjust. If not, they could pull away from the wall, or leave visible gaps.
  2. Sort the wall out. Make sure it’s totally smooth, flat and dry. “A little uneven” isn’t good enough – bumps or flaws will show and mess with the adhesion.
  3. Make sure it’s spotless. No glue will hold on top of dust, oil, old paint, or bits of wallpaper. A clean surface is crucial for strong bonding.
  4. Plan your layout first. Know exactly where each tile will go before you grab the adhesive. Once that’s done, you’re ready to begin.

WHAT’S THE PROPER WAY TO STICK ON 3D ACOUSTIC WAL PANELS?

We advise using Wakol D-3540 glue. With a 0.8 kg container, you’ll get around 69 tiles done; a 2.5 kg bucket will do about 240 tiles. Coat both the back of the tile and the wall using a short-pile velour roller. Spread it evenly so it doesn’t clump. Once the glue’s turned clear on both, it’s good to go – press the tiles on.

SHOULD THE PANELS ADJUST TO THE ROOM BEFORE FITTING?

Yes, definitely – give them 72 hours to get used to the environment. This helps stop peeling, cracking, or other problems later down the line.

CAN I USE DECORATIVE CORK ON A SLIGHTLY UNEVEN WALL?

It’s important that the wall is level, smooth and clean. If the wall’s textured or bumpy, the tiles may start coming off eventually.

WILL YOU SEE THE JOINTS BETWEEN EACH TILE?

The joins might be a touch visible, but thanks to the design, they’re not distracting. To make them less obvious, let the panels sit in the room for 72 hours before putting them up – this helps them adjust and lowers the chance of noticeable gaps forming afterwards.

DOES NATURAL CORK REALLY HELP WITH HEAT AND NOISE?

Absolutely. Cork naturally keeps heat in and absorbs sound. That’s because it’s made from loads of tiny air-filled cells, which trap warmth and soak up sound. Unlike plastics or synthetics, cork does all this without artificial additives.

HOW SHOULD I KEEP NATURAL CORK 3D CLEAN?

Cleaning cork is easy – no need for anything fancy. Just clean it off now and again with a dry or slightly damp cloth to keep it looking fresh.

If there are marks that won’t budge, go for a gentle cleaner with a neutral pH. Don’t soak it, though – cork doesn’t like too much moisture. Stay away from harsh chemicals, bleach or anything too rough like scouring pads – they’ll damage the surface.

IS 3D CORK SUITABLE FOR KIDS AND FAMILY HOMES?

Yes, no worries there – cork is totally natural and non-toxic. It’s perfectly safe, even for little ones.

It’s hypoallergenic too – no dust or mites will settle on it. It breathes well, which means it doesn’t lock in moisture – helping keep mould and mildew at bay.

IS CORK SUITABLE FOR USE IN THE KITCHEN OR BATHROOM?

Cork’s fine in areas with humidity between 40% and 60%. Its breathable nature helps prevent mould – ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Just keep it away from splashes and don’t let it get soaked. Keeping it dry is the key to it lasting well.

CAN I USE STRIPES 3D CORK TILES OUTSIDE?

We wouldn’t advise it. Outdoor conditions like rain, changing temperatures, and general weather wear will reduce their durability and affect how they look over time.

Your home should be a sanctuary – not something that leaves you feeling drained. Empty walls, hollow sounds, and unforgiving surfaces don’t exactly help you relax. And plastic panels? They might be easy on the eyes, but they’ll never bring that comforting, lived-in feel. Cork wall panels – like the Stripes range – are a far smarter pick.

Black text WHY is it worth it?» with cork on the right on a white background.

#1 STYLE THAT MAKES A STATEMENT

Stripes cork panels don’t follow the usual wall panel rules. They’ve got texture and depth – and that’s what sets them apart. They naturally draw the eye. People spot them. They’re curious.

What’s even better? You can lay Stripes out in any way you fancy. Stick them on vertically, horizontally, go big across the whole wall or small in just one area. There’s no single right way to do it. It’s all about what suits you. Suddenly, updating a room doesn’t mean redecorating top to bottom. It’s a clever, creative change – done your way.

#2 HOW CORK STACKS UP AGAINST CLASSICS

Paint and wallpaper? We’ve all been there. They look good – until life happens. With cork, there’s no trade-off between good looks and practicality. Style? Check. Durability? You bet. Environmentally friendly? Always – no plastic cover-up here.

Cork is made for everyday living. It resists scratches better than paint, won’t peel like wallpaper, and improves sound and warmth in the room. Fit it once and enjoy it for years without fuss.

#3 BRINGING NATURE INDOORS

Living sustainably is becoming second nature – we recycle, reuse, and cut back on plastic. But what about inside our homes? Wall finishes also matter, and cork is an eco-friendly standout. It’s biodegradable and even carbon negative.

Cork isn’t just a trend word. It’s carefully stripped from cork oaks without chopping them down. Only the bark is removed, and it grows back naturally. This can be done every 9–12 years, keeping the tree healthy and thriving. It’s a clean, renewable, waste-free solution. And most importantly – no plastic in sight. Just the real thing, straight from nature.

#4 SMART, STRONG AND HEALTHY

Cork décor isn’t just easy on the eye – it offers real everyday perks too. It cuts down echo, improves acoustics, and adds warmth to otherwise plain walls. Unlike cold plastic or bare concrete, cork brings comfort along with style.

Cork is non-toxic, doesn’t produce dust, and is ideal for those with allergies. It’s antistatic, so dust doesn’t cling to it, and your indoor air stays less dry and noticeably cleaner. That makes it a brilliant choice for kids’ rooms, bedrooms, lounges or workspaces. And when little hands touch the walls, you’ll know they’re safe – no nasty chemicals involved.

Worried it’ll need loads of upkeep? Don’t be. Cork is low-effort and simple to keep clean. A damp cloth or a soft brush does the trick. And its gently uneven finish helps hide any tiny marks or smudges that may appear with time.
