WHAT IS A CORK TAPE ROLL?

It’s a flexible strip made from natural cork, rolled into a convenient form. It comes in various widths, thicknesses, and lengths. There are two types available: non-adhesive and self-adhesive.

HOW IS CORK TAPE DIFFERENT FROM A CORK ROLL?

Both products are made from natural cork, but cork tape is a narrower strip rolled up for convenience. A cork roll is wider and better suited for larger projects, such as covering entire walls with natural cork.

WHEN SHOULD I CHOOSE A THINNER OR THICKER CORK TAPE?

Thinner tapes (0.8–4 mm) are ideal for smaller DIY projects, such as protective pads and gaskets in areas where strong insulation isn’t needed. They also work well for decorative purposes.

Medium-thickness tapes (5–10 mm) are the best choice for creating pinboards.

Thicker tapes (10 mm and above) provide acoustic and thermal insulation.

CAN NATURAL CORK BE GLUED WITH ANY ADHESIVE?

Standard glue may not be enough. We recommend adhesives for natural cork, such as Wakol D-3540 or Dragon.

WHAT SHOULD YOU REMEMBER BEFORE INSTALLATION?

  1. Cork is a natural material, so it needs to acclimate to the room for 72 hours before installation.
  2. Make sure to clean and level the surface before applying the adhesive. Remove dust, grease, and any irregularities to ensure a strong bond.

Absolutely! The best tool for the job is a sharp utility knife.
