Sticking cork tiles on is easy: just line up the panel where you need it, peel off the protective layer, and press it firmly into place. Be sure to press evenly – especially around the edges.

Before you get started, don’t forget these two key pointers:

The adhesive layer sticks best to flat, even, clean, and dust-free surfaces – like plasterboard or smooth furniture panels.
Let the cork sit in the room where you’ll install it for 72 hours. Since cork’s a natural product, it needs time to adapt to the environment – otherwise, it might pull away or shrink after installation.

IS IT OK TO APPLY CORK PANELS ON UNEVEN SURFACES?

We advise against it. Cork might not stay put on textured or bumpy surfaces – even slight roughness can be an issue. These self-adhesive panels are intended for flat, even, clean, and dust-free areas only.

WILL THE STICKY BACKING HOLD UP?

Absolutely – the adhesive provides a solid grip on smooth surfaces. As long as you prep the area properly – make sure it’s dry, clean, and free of dust – the cork will stick firmly without needing extra glue.

CAN I TRIM STICK ON CORK TILES?

Absolutely – fine-grain cork is easy to trim. To get the cleanest cuts, make sure to use a sharp knife for cork.

WHICH IS BETTER: STICKY BACK CORK TILES OR ROLLS?

Planning to cover a big space? Then rolled cork is your best bet – fewer joins mean a neater finish. Sheets, however, are a better fit for small-scale jobs where seams aren’t a worry.

CAN I USE STICK ON CORK TILES AS FLOORING OR UNDERLAY?

If you're working on flooring, it's better to go for dedicated cork flooring or a proper cork underlay.

IS NATURAL CORK SUITABLE FOR HUMID SPACES?

Yes, cork handles dampness well as long as the humidity stays within 40–60%. It’s naturally water-repellent thanks to suberin, which keeps out mould and moisture.

That said, in places where it’s extra humid, it’s a good idea to seal it with waterproof varnish. Just be sure to pick one that’s safe for cork.
