WHY SHOULD I LET ROLLED CORK ACCLIMATISE BEFORE USING IT?

Since cork is natural, it reacts to the temperature and moisture in the room. Give it around three days to adjust to your indoor conditions before installing it. This helps it adhere well and prevents problems like peeling or lifting later on.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO MOUNT ROLLED CORK TO A WALL?

Using a contact adhesive like Wakol D-3540 works best.

Here’s a quick guide:

Prepare the wall — make sure it’s smooth, clean, and completely dry.
Apply Wakol adhesive to both the wall and the cork. Let it dry until it is transparent.
Press the cork onto the wall, smoothing it down as you go.
Leave it to fully cure — this takes roughly 24 hours.

Typical adhesive usage is 150–250 g/m². For reference, 0.8 kg of adhesive will cover around 4 m², and 2.5 kg will cover about 12.5 m².

CAN I USE NATURAL CORK 10MM ON UNEVEN WALLS?

We wouldn’t advise applying cork to an uneven wall. You’ll get far better results on a surface that’s flat, clean, dry, and smooth.

HOW SHOULD YOU CLEAN CORK?

Cleaning cork is simple — as it’s antistatic, it doesn’t really collect dust. Just wipe it now and then with a slightly damp cloth or a soft duster.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO CUT CORK?

It’s easy — just use a sharp utility knife. Always cut on a solid surface for best accuracy.

WHAT TYPE OF GRAIN DOES CORK ROLL HAVE?
