WHAT ARE THE SIZES OF THE CORK WORLD MAP?
We offer three options: 80 × 150 cm, 107 × 200 cm and 164 × 300 cm.
HOW THICK IS THE CORK MAP?
Every map is 7 mm thick.
HOW DO I ATTACH THE MAP TO THE WALL?
The set includes adhesive elements – just stick them on the back and press the map onto the wall. No drilling required!
Remember: it sticks best to smooth, clean surfaces. Always wipe down the wall before fixing it, otherwise it might not hold for long.
SHOULD I LET THE NATURAL CORK ACCLIMATISE?
Yes – ideally for 72 hours. The cork needs time to adjust to the temperature and humidity in your room. If you skip this step, it may warp or peel away later.
CAN I USE PINS ON THE MAP?
Of course! Cork holds pins perfectly, so feel free to use as many as you like.
CAN I WRITE ON THE MAP?
Not recommended. Cork isn’t ideal for writing – marker ink is hard to remove and the surface texture won’t give you neat results.
It’s better to use labels or pins to mark your travels. That way, you can move them around without damaging the map.
HOW SHOULD I CLEAN THE CORK MAP?
A soft duster or dry cloth will do. Avoid chemicals or heavy scrubbing, which could damage the surface.
IS THE MAP SAFE FOR CHILDREN?
Yes – cork maps are completely safe. Cork is natural, non-toxic and hypoallergenic, with no harmful chemicals.
Just be cautious with pins – children should only use them under supervision.
