Questions and Answers

HOW IS MOZART DIFFERENT FROM AN ORDINARY TRIVET?

Mozart is a double, round cork trivet, giving you a 2-in-1 set. Instead of one piece, you get two that can be used for placing hot saucepans, frying pans and other dishes on the table. The cork creates a barrier between the hot base and the worktop or tablecloth, helping to protect the surface from high temperatures.

WHEN IS THE MOZART CORK TRIVET USEFUL?

Most of all when you want to place a hot saucepan, frying pan or another hot dish on the table or kitchen worktop. Instead of looking for a chopping board or folding a tea towel several times, you simply place the cork trivet underneath it.

It is a simple way to keep the hot dish away from the surface and protect your worktop, table or tablecloth from high temperatures.

DO CORK TRIVETS FOR HOT DISHES LOOK GOOD ON THE TABLE?

Yes – and this is where it has a real advantage over many typical trivets. Cork has a natural, warm look, so it sits well alongside plates, ceramics, glassware or a wooden table. It does not look overly functional or like something that has just been pulled out of a kitchen drawer.

Trivets for hot dishes are often made from metal, silicone or plastic. Mozart is completely different in that respect. It can stay on the table throughout the meal without looking like something you want to put away as soon as the saucepan is moved.

A typical trivet often does its job, but it can look so functional that you want to put it straight back in the drawer afterwards. Yet during a shared meal, something like this can stay on the table for an hour or more. Mozart Trivet is made from natural cork, so instead of adding a plastic or metal accent, it sits naturally alongside ceramics, glass and wood.

#1 WHEN THE SAUCEPAN COMES TO THE TABLE

There are some meals where the saucepan, frying pan or oven dish is simply placed in the middle of the table. Soup for a family lunch, pasta that everyone serves themselves from, or something that has just come out of the oven.

That is when it helps to have something close at hand to put it all on safely. No searching for a chopping board, folding up a tea towel or wondering where to put a hot dish. Mozart can stay on the table throughout lunch or dinner. It looks good and simply does its job.

#2 MORE PRACTICAL – 2 IN 1

The Mozart trivet is a 2-in-1 set, so you do not have to use both pieces in exactly the same way every time. One can go under a larger saucepan, while the other can be used for a sauce dish, a smaller serving dish or anything else you want to serve hot.

It is especially useful when several dishes are on the table at once. A main course and a side dish, a saucepan and a bowl, or two serving dishes that everyone helps themselves from. Instead of two mismatched trivets, you have one coordinated set.
