WHAT SIZES DOES THE CORK WORLD MAP COME IN?
You can choose from three formats: 80 × 150 cm (~31.5 × 59.1 in), 107 × 200 cm (~42.1 × 78.7 in) and 164 × 300 cm (~64.6 × 118.1 in).
HOW THICK IS THE MAP?
Every version has a thickness of 7 mm (around 0.28 in, just under a quarter of an inch).
HOW DO I FIX THE MAP TO THE WALL?
The set comes with adhesive pads. Attach them to the back, press firmly onto the wall—no drilling or tools needed.
For best adhesion, stick only to smooth, dry and dust-free surfaces. Clean the area carefully before applying to ensure the map stays in place.
SHOULD THE CORK BE LEFT TO ADAPT BEFORE USE?
Yes—allow about 72 hours. The cork should adjust to the room’s climate before mounting. Missing this step may lead to slight bending or poor grip.
CAN I USE MAP PINS OR PUSHPINS?
Of course. The natural cork surface grips pins and pushpins firmly, so you can mark your adventures without worry.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO WRITE DIRECTLY ON THE MAP?
Not advised. Cork doesn’t give sharp lines with pens or markers, and removing ink is nearly impossible.
Instead, try stickers, tags or pins—they’re neat, removable, and leave no marks.
WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN THE MAP?
Lightly dust with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft feather duster. Avoid moisture, sprays or scrubbing that could spoil the surface.
IS IT SAFE FOR CHILDREN?
Yes—cork is a child-safe material. It’s natural, hypoallergenic and non-toxic, releasing no harmful substances.
Do note, however, that pins and needles should only be used under adult supervision.
